My Holy Grail Skincare Products – Mini Version

My favourite part of my beauty routine is prepping my skin. Whether it be for the day just chilling at home, a clean base for make-up, or for the night, skincare has become a rigorous part of my daily routine. It honestly became a therapeutic experience in all this chaos.

I’ve actually had to dip into my mini versions of my absolute staples that I usually take on holiday, as I’ve finished the full sized bottles and currently in the process of reordering them. So I thought, why not do a post on these little guys as they are soooo freakin cute!

Look how adorable they are!

Most of these products are geared towards my specific skin type, but overall, I seriously encourage everyone to get samples of the skin care they want to try out to avoid spending too much on something that may not work for you.

This has been my go to for the last couple of months. I sometimes switch out the moisturizer or work in a mask in there somewhere, but even taking those 5-10 mins in the morning and before bed to give myself some love, my skin some nourishment, and just take care of me has helped me start my day on a brighter note and end it ready to relax. I think it’s safe to say that these products here are my personal essentials and my holy grails for all things skincare!

Since I have such dry skin, I usually start by exfoliating. I love the brand Philosophy, but mostly the Philosophy Microdelivery Exfoliating Facial Wash, is my go to each and every morning. I actually even go in sometimes, not all the time, with the pink silicon skin exfoliator/cleansing pad that you can get from anywhere beauty and skin care items are sold. I find that it is not too harsh on my skin and it leaves a smoothness and softness lasting the whole day. If you have sensitive skin or a different type of skin ranging more combination or oily, this technique/method may not be the best for you. For my really dry-skinned people out there, this is how I ensure my face remains looking supple, and able to hold on to make up without flaking or drying out any further.

These two products have become a true must have in my collection, to the point where I will be making double the order just to ensure I never run out completely ever again. I originally got these two as a sample from Sephora, but after one use only, I fell in love and bought the full sized bottles. That really never happens, I have to give a product at least a month of trying it before making the decision to purchase or even talk about it, but these two were so different. The Drunk Elephant Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser is so gentle on the skin. After harshly exfoliating my skin, this is the perfect way to wash away all impurities without adding chemicals and irritating my skin at all. The Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream is a moisturizer that locks into the skin, hydrating it, giving it that firmness, and evening skin tone to make your skin feel and look so healthy. All Drunk Elephant products are clean products meaning they are free of all the harmful parabens and sulfates which is incredible to know only good things are being put on your skin. These two together are a killer combination and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good duo.

If there was only one product I was allowed to use for the rest of my life, it would be this one. The Glossier Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector is the best toner I have ever used! This is perfect for those with acne-prone skin as it contains 10% AHA/BHA/PHA Salicylic Acid Treatment. Salicylic Acid is in most cleansers, toners, or moisturizers geared towards those fighting acne. Since the Drunk Elephant cleanser is gentler and not targeting blemishes necessarily, going in with a cotton pad soaked in this toner eliminates all possible pimples and minimizes any existing ones. It can sting when applied, but it quickly fades and mostly means that it’s working. Out of all the skincare products meant to fight or prevent acne, this is by far the one that truly works and yield results almost instantly!

I have fallen deep in love with serums recently and I’m actively looking to try new ones. I did a previous post on Farsali trial size serums that introduced different elixirs into my life that are giving me amazing results and a brighter, healthier glow to the skin. Since then, I have purchased all the trial size serums I can get my hands on and this one by far is one of the ultimate bests. The Sunday Riley Luna Retinol Sleeping Night Oil works to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and pores while tightening and firming the skin. This has become more of a concern as getting older and nearing mid-twenties means using retinol, whether it be in creams or oils, is important. After completing my skincare routine at night, I plop this on and wake the next morning to a noticeable difference in how my skin feels and looks. A little goes such a long way with this product, and while it is a blue oil, it does not stain the skin at all. I honestly don’t know how I lived without this oil at all.

I’ve blabbed about this product to everyone I know and even did a little post on it here back in December. Laneige is killing it right now with all their skincare products especially at such affordable prices compared to other similar products. This lip mask is everything!!! I mostly use it like I would a lip balm, applying a couple times throughout the day. I have about three tins, on my desk, on my bedside table, and in my purse. It leaves my lips feeling so soft and hydrated even after it’s disappeared. You really feel its effects sink deep and it leaves such a natural shine. I cannot recommend this one enough. For all skin types and anyone who wants plump, supple, lush looking lips… this is the one for you!

Lastly, the Mario Badescu Facial Spray has introduced a new luxurious feeling to my skincare routine. It is so refreshing and hydrating, and can be applied before or after you start your skincare regimen, but even throughout the day when you need that burst of energy. I love the Aloe, Cucumber, and Green Tea kind as it smells so clean but also has such a cooling effect on the skin. I literally will spray my face with this the whole day whenever I feel it’s a little dull or tired, or mostly dry.

And that’s all the amazing skincare related things I am currently loving and using! During these times, it’s important to take care of your mind, body, and soul, and show yourself some love doing whatever makes you the happiest whatever it may be!

As a skincare addict, I love learning and trying out different things that help my skin feel and look it’s best, because in turn, I feel and look my best. If there are any products I should be trying out please let me know! What products are you loving and using?
